Lamotrigine
Lamotrigine is a type of anticonvulsant sold under various brand names including Lamictal.
Lamotrigine is used to to prevent or reduce the severity of seizures. It is also used as a mood stabiliser.
Some people believe that some anticonvulsants can also be used to reduce some of the core symptoms of autism, such as social and communication difficulties and repetitive, compulsive behaviour.
Please note that lamotrigine can cause serious and hazardous side effects in some people, including rashes that may need to be treated in a hospital or cause permanent disability or death.
