Language for Learning
Language for Learning is a form of Direct Instruction, an instructional intervention that incorporates behavioural principles including short, clear and sequenced instructions, immediate reinforcement, and error correction procedures to enhance learning outcomes.
The Language for Learning curriculum focuses on teaching oral language across six areas: actions, description of objects, information and background knowledge, instructional words and problem-solving concepts, classification, and problem-solving strategies and applications.
