Comic Strip | A comic strip is a conversation between two or more people using simple illustrations in a comic strip format. |
Communication Board | A communication board is a board which shows words, photos and/or symbols. |
Communication Book | A communication book which shows words, photos and/or symbols. Non-verbal or pre-verbal individuals can point to relevant items with their finger or their eyes to indicate what they mean. |
Communication DEALL | The Communication DEALL (Developmental Eclectic Approach to Language Learning) is an early intervention programme for children with developmental language disorders. |
Communication Interventions | Communication interventions are a very wide group of interventions and include any interventions which are specifically designed to increase or improve the communication skills of individuals with autism. |
Complementary and Alternative Medicine | Complementary and Alternative Medicine is a very large group of interventions which are used alongside or instead of traditional medical treatments and therapies. |
Compliance Training | Compliance training is another term for discrete trial training, a highly-structured training technique that involves a trainer instructing an individual with autism using a series of learning opportunities or trials. |
Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling | Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling is a behavioural intervention based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis. |
Comprehensive Treatment Models | Comprehensive treatment models (CTMs) consist of a set of practices organised around a conceptual framework and designed to achieve a broad learning or developmental impact on the core features of autism. |
Computer-Based Interventions | Computer-based interventions are a large and diverse group of interventions based around the use of computers. |
Concerta | Concerta is a brand name for methylphenidate, a type of stimulant medication, used to treat inattention and hyperactivity. |
Conductive Education | Conductive education is a system of education for children and adults with physical and multiple disabilities originating from damage to the central nervous system. |
Conjoint Behavioural Consultation | Conjoint behavioural consultation is a partnership model of service delivery in which parents, educators, and service providers work collaboratively to meet a child's developmental needs. |
