Early Social Interaction Project
The Early Social Interaction Project is a combined, multi-component intervention programme for toddlers who are at risk for autism and their families.
Key elements of the programme include:
- Routines-based intervention in natural environments, that is to say, takes place in the home and in a community-based,
parent-child playgroup. - Individualised curriculum: The programme is developed around the child's unique needs and abilities.
- Parent-implemented. Interventionists teach families to create learning opportunities and use specific intervention
strategies to encourage practice of the child's goals within daily routines.
