PEGASUS programme
PEGASUS is the acronym for the PsychoEducational Groups for Autism Spectrum Understanding and Support programme.
PEGASUS is designed to teach young people with autism about their diagnosis and to help them use this information to develop insight into their own unique collection of strengths and difficulties.
It has a strong focus on strengths, encouraging young people to focus on their capacities as well as their difficulties, and strongly conveying the message that having autism involves being different from, but not inferior to, people without autism.
PEGASUS was developed by the Institute of Education in London.
