Stronger Families Project
The Stronger Families Project is an intervention programme aimed at parents of children on the autism spectrum.
Participation for families involves a combination of a 2-day parent workshop followed by home visits. The workshop focuses on developing an understanding of social and communication development in young children.
Parents learn to use specific techniques, drawn from best-practice in the field of early intervention, to support their child's development. Emphasis is placed on recognising the child's strengths and interests, and on integrating these into use of techniques in the home.
